That sedan 500 looks a damn sight better than the 500L

I do like the render of the Fiat Panda X quite a lot actually. It's a relatively clean modern design. If it keeps the low price, this would be a good-looking cheap car.

No, seriously, is there any chance that this beauty will be produced?

Well, Alfa certainly thinks about making a GTV, based on the Spider, and with Mazda presumably building an RX-7 on the MX-5/Alfa Spider platform, I don't see why Alfa couldn't do the same with it's version, and ask Mazda to build the coupe too, of course that this new GTV would get an Alfa engine, so stop dreaming about a rotary powered Alfa.

No need for a rotary (yet / I still haven't been infected ;)). But a new GTV would be great! This render looks so nice, I'm happy, Alfa is starting to produce good cars again (and be it with the help of Mazda). I could definitely see me own a car like that, especially if it is based on the MX-5 / Spider platform since it shouldn't be too expensive then. This is definitely better than any TT / SLK.

The 5-door 'sedan' - I've no idea how Fiat could label a 5-door hatch a 'sedan'/saloon, but there you go - 500 actually looks quite nice. If it's actually a decent car, with a nice interior, handling to match or better the Focus, and a good variety of engine options, Fiat might actually have a contender in the 'family hatch' class for the first time in years. They are in dire need.

I would have never thought that a 500 sedan would work, aesthetically...but I love it. I'd buy an Abarth model in a heartbeat

It is possible. GM did it with the Kadett D. 3/2 door, but the idea is the same. They looked similar but there was a hatch and a sedan. I guess around 1980 some more conservative people still needed convincing of the usefulness of a hatch.
Ah, that time when cars still came in color.

Colour was fun.
